BMFCD was formed in June 2004 as an international but UK based NGO working with communities in Sub Saharan Africa to improve health and social care for vulnerable and disadvantaged people, who are traditionally, denied assistance. Our focus has been to increase skill levels, reduce risk and stigmatisation especially in regard to sexual and gender based violence, HIV/AIDS, STI, TB and Malaria.  BFMCD also provides direct services to those in need and support human service groups at a grass roots level. In addition, we provide expertise, knowledge and skills from the field experience to support organisations, often as part of a scale up strategy. At present, the BFMCD is simultaneously implementing its programmes in England and in the Democratic Republic of Congo in partnership with its local partners.
